This is a full-time position, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to teach Sociology to motivated students at Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and social awareness in every learner.
📘 What You’ll Be Doing:
• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Sociology lessons across KS4 and KS5
• Plan, prepare, and assess in line with curriculum standards
• Encourage debate, reflection, and independent thinking in the classroom
• Track student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support development
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote excellence in teaching and learning
🎓 What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Sociology in UK secondary schools or sixth forms
• A genuine passion for understanding society, culture, and human behaviour
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
