Due to the retirement of the current post-holder, they are keen to appoint a highly motivated class teacher to join their Middle Leadership Team as the Arts and Culture Lead from September 2024.
You will have responsibility for; leading a team consisting of the Arts subject leads (Art and Design, Design and Technology and Music and Drama); leading on embedding curriculum learning through arts and culture; enriching pupils’ experiences through high quality extracurricular provision and maintaining their Platinum Artsmark status.
Half a day release time will be allocated most weeks to ensure that the you have the capacity to lead this area effectively.
About the school
This is a 3-form-entry primary school in the north of Ipswich with 650+ pupils on roll. The school serves a large catchment area with a wide demographic. The school has two Local Authority Specialist Education Units for pupils with a complexity of needs. These units and mainstream combined mean that the school has a higher than average number of pupils on the SEND register.
The school boasts large grounds, an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and good ICT provision. They pride themselves on the broad and rich curriculum that they offer to their pupils and their extensive extracurricular activities, which include residential visits in all KS2 year groups.
The school received a “Good” Ofsted rating in October 2022.
