Does it cost to register with you?

No, registration is completely free. The only cost involved would be for a new enhanced DBS if you do not have your paper copy registered on the update service. The DBS is £50.40 and £13.00 for the yearly DBS update subscription.

What documents do I have to take when going to a school?

You will be required to take ID (driving licence or passport) and your original DBS certificate. You should have some lesson plans in case you arrive and the school does not have anything in place.

Do you only register candidates on a weekday?

We understand how busy everyone is during the week, which is why we are happy to do the registration on the weekend. You can contact us on 01245 699095 or register through the website and we will be in touch to discuss how we can help.

What happens if I am booked at a school and not feeling well?

Please contact Gold Education Recruitment when you decide you will not be able to attend your booking even if it is the night before. We would need to know by the latest at 7am on the morning of your booking so we can let the school know and offer a replacement if needed. You can call us on 01245 699095 or 07898 185691.

Can I work in Schools if I am not a qualified teacher?

Yes, you can. We deal with many other roles within schools where you will still get the benefits of helping children but in a supporting role like a teaching assistant, 1-1 support, learning support assistant, cover supervisor, or office administrator.

Can I refer colleagues?

Gold Education Recruitment is always happy to help, you can enter their details on the ‘Teachers’ page. We will contact your colleague within 24 hours to discuss how we can help. Once they have registered, and worked 10 days, you will be entitled to £100 vouchers of your choice.
