The school are keen to appoint a highly motivated class teacher to join their Middle Leadership Team as the Early Years Foundation Stage Phase Leader from September 2024. You will have responsibility for leading the teaching and learning of the EYFS curriculum; you will lead a team of teachers and teaching assistants to ensure that all aspects of the curriculum are taught to a high standard. Half a day release time will be allocated most weeks to ensure that the post-holder has the capacity to lead the subject effectively.
About the school
This is a 3-form-entry primary school in the north of Ipswich with 650+ pupils on roll. The school serves a large catchment area with a wide demographic. The school has two Local Authority Specialist Education Units for pupils with a complexity of needs. These units and mainstream combined mean that the school has a higher than average number of pupils on the SEND register.
The school boasts large grounds, an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and good ICT provision. They pride themselves on the broad and rich curriculum that they offer to their pupils and their extensive extracurricular activities, which include residential visits in all KS2 year groups.
